Skate Canada New Brunswick is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for all to participate in skating throughout their lifetime for fun, fitness, and/or achievement. Skate Canada New Brunswick is comprised of strong clubs in well-developed regions. They work as a team and share the workload equitably in the provision of safe and quality programs for participants pursuing fun, fitness and/or the opportunity to achieve personal growth and success at the appropriate level.

Skate Canada NB and Skate Canada PEI will co-host a technical panel training seminar in Moncton July 18- 21. This seminar is the first step to becoming a Section level Technical Controller or Technical Specialist. Current technical officials are encouraged to attend a portion of the seminar as an update clinic. Details on who is qualified to attend technical panel training can be found in the Officials’ Definition, Appointment Qualifications Policy <Members Only/ Technical and Programs/Rules, Official Rule Book/Policies and Procedures/Official Rules/Individuals> (Note the relevant information begins on page 130 and is included in several sections) If you qualify and are interested in becoming a technical specialist or controller, please send the following to Erica Topolski (etopolski@gmail.com) by June13, 2013. • Skating Background (that highlights how you meet the minimum qualifications from Skate Canada as mentioned above). • Brief statement about why you would like to become a technical official • List of conflicts (coaches only). This list would outline any current skaters in Jr. Bronze- Gold Star Skate events and Pre-Juvenile –Senior events The Skate NB Officials Committee will review all applications and let applicants know if they have been accepted the week of June 17th.
